ABOUT DR BEC

Dr Bec is a Paediatric Urologist and Paediatric General Surgeon specialising in the management and treatment of paediatric surgical conditions.  She has a special interest in urological reconstructive surgery, neonatal emergencies and minimal access (laparoscopic) surgery.

Dr Bec is a Senior Consultant at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital in the Paediatric Surgical Unit, Urology Department, Trauma Department, Burns Unit and heavily involved in cancer surgery for children.  She is affiliated with the University of Adelaide, is active in Surgical Education holding roles in the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, sits on a number of committees and holds several advisory positions.

Dr Bec recognises each child is unique and tailors her service for each family and child. Bec is constantly updating her methods to reflect best practice for better patient outcomes.

Dr Bec grew up in Adelaide and after living and working in Melbourne, Auckland and Bristol she now lives in the Adelaide Hills with her husband and two children.  She has an interest in archaeology and has an arts degree after studying bone deposits in ancient sites of southern Italy.
