Your Child's Appointment - What do you need to know?

YOUR CHILD’S APPOINTMENT

COVID-19 PRACTICE PROTOCOLS

We are strictly adhering to the SA Health Guidelines to ensure all staff and patient safety and we have implemented the following measures to minimize contact.

- Should you or your child feel unwell on the day of your appointment please contact us via telephone on 0499 919 968 or via email at info@drbec.com.au to ensure we give you the best advice on how to proceed.
- If you are awaiting COVID-19 test results from close contact with anyone who has tested positive to COVID-19 please contact our rooms on 0499 919 968 prior to your appointment.
- We ask that all paperwork (i.e. referral, patient information form, pathology or radiology results, etc.) be forwarded directly to our rooms prior to your appointment either via fax, email or secure messaging.
- Our doctors will do their utmost to keep to time for all appointments so we also ask that you arrive on time for your appointment, neither early nor late, to minimize the number of patients in the waiting room and enable us to stay within the SA Health Guidelines.

We will continue to monitor the situation on an ongoing basis following the SA Health Guidelines and will keep you up to date if there are any changes.

Appointments

You may request an appointment via telephone, email, our website or in person.

If your child is a new patient, a staff member will ask you a series of questions to create a file for your child. To assist in providing the best possible care for your child, you will be asked some questions about your child’s referral to try and get the best timed appointment for them.

We will then forward you a patient information form via email for you to complete and email back to us before the appointment.

Waiting Times

We try our best to run as close to time as possible, however, some patients may need a little more time than what was allocated, or we may have an urgent appointment that needs to be seen. When we are running considerably late we will do our best to contact you before you attend to inform you of this and arrange a later time.

Access to Rooms

Only street parking is available, there is no on-site parking.

We do have wheelchair access.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that sometimes appointments need to be cancelled or rescheduled for a multitude of reasons and we appreciate notification as soon as possible before the appointment.

Consultation Fees

Full payment of the consultation fee is required on the day of service, our staff will forward your invoice online to Medicare on your behalf for processing of your rebate which you should receive within 48 hours.

We accept cash, EFTPOS, MasterCard and Visa credit cards.

Discounted rates are available for concession card holders.
